Neurofeedback for Professionals

Improve Executive Function Using Neurofeedback

Executive Function is imperative for success in the workplace.  Peak Performance training can promote complex reasoning skills, sharpen the ability to follow directions, and boost one's capacity for organizing and prioritizing daily tasks, all of which fall under the heading of Executive Function. General intelligence refers to subsets of abilities including, but not limited to, Working Memory, processing speed, set shifting and fine motor coordination.  Through Neurofeedback, a client can achieve improvement in each of these areas.  The brain's ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, initiate and cease actions, modify behaviors, and think abstractly also depend on proper Executive Function.  Neurofeedback helps change the brain pattern making these tasks easier to employ, which contributes to success at work and in school.

Unveil the True You with Neurofeedback by Adjusting Your Ability to Pay Attention

Often times, deficits in memory are actually due to problems with Attention, and vice versa.  Without the ability to pay Attention or focus, we are not able to hold information in our minds.  Interruptions in Working Memory function can adversely affect many facets of our daily lives.

Neurofeedback Benefits the Workplace

A stressed brain is less productive.  The brain is not capable of multi-tasking because it needs to do everything in a particular sequence.  It is the ability to shift quickly between two tasks that give us the sense that we are multi-tasking.  In order to accomplish shifting tasks more quickly, our brains need to reallocate resources by pruning some of the unused neurons.  This occurs by practicing the things that are important to reinforce the need for those pathways and let the unused pathways deteriorate.  Exercise can help with long-term memory, reasoning, attention, problem-solving, and fluid intelligence, but not short-term memory or reaction time.  Fortunately, neurofeedback can improve short-term memory and reaction time, as well as the functions listed above.

Neurofeedback can make you more valuable to your employer.  Humans are not able to multi-task on attention-rich inputs simultaneously.  This reduces productivity and increases mistakes.  Employees waste a lot of time making up for distractions.  When you are disrupted, you take 50 percent longer to complete the task and make 50 percent more errors than you would had you never been disrupted.  Remaining calm can assist in recovering from distractions more quickly and preventing unnecessary mistakes.  Often, the workplace requires some amount of shifting tasks.  Being able to shorten the amount of time it takes your brain to fully commit to the new task and leave the old task behind can decrease the number of errors you are likely to make.  Neurofeedback makes all of this possible.

Often times, deficits in memory are actually due to problems with attention, and vice versa.  Without the ability to pay attention or focus, we are not able to hold information in our minds.  Neurofeedback is designed to facilitate relaxation which often times lessens procrastination, poor time management, and distractibility.
